This Policy explains what Trove (“Trove,” “we,” “us”), operated by Marissa Meyer Media, collects, why, and the choices you have. By creating an account or using Trove at gettrove.vip you agree to this Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Trove.
Trove is a general-audience consumer app and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country, where higher). We do not knowingly collect data from children under that age; if you believe a child has given us data, email us and we’ll delete it. You must be the age of majority in your state to purchase a paid plan.
Paid plans are billed by Stripe. Stripe collects and processes your card details directly under Stripe’s privacy policy. We never receive or store your full card number. We keep only a Stripe customer/subscription reference and your current plan.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your photos or closet to train AI models or for third-party advertising.
Photos you upload are stored to display your closet and, only when you trigger a styling or item-recognition feature, are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate that result. We strip location (GPS) and camera metadata from every image before saving it. Anthropic processes the request to return your result and does not use it to train its models. Product-lookup providers receive only your search text — never your identity or photos.
We share data only with service providers who help us run Trove (“sub-processors”), each limited to what their job requires:
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of Trove or others, or in connection with a business transfer (e.g., merger or acquisition), in which case we’ll notify you.
Your closet, trips, and account are private to you. Only a look you explicitly publish becomes a public page (with an #ad disclosure). Anyone with that link can view it until you delete the look. Don’t include anything in a published look you wouldn’t want public.
Product links may be affiliate links that earn Trove — or, on the Creator plan, you — a commission at no extra cost to the shopper. This is disclosed with an #ad marker on published pages.
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your account and associated content are permanently removed from our live systems promptly; residual copies may persist briefly in encrypted backups before being overwritten on the ordinary backup cycle. We may retain limited records where required by law (e.g., tax/payment records held by Stripe).
We use reputable providers, encryption in transit, row-level access controls so your data is scoped to your account, and captcha/abuse protection on sign-in. No online service can be 100% secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify affected users and authorities of a material breach as required by law.
From Settings you can, at any time:
Depending on where you live (e.g., the EU/UK or California), you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, or limit use of your personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising them. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To make a request, email hello@gettrove.vip; we’ll verify and respond as required by law.
Trove is operated from the United States and our providers may process data in the U.S. and elsewhere. By using Trove you understand your information may be processed in the U.S., which may have different data-protection laws than your country.
We may update this Policy. If changes are material we’ll post the new version here and update the date above, and where appropriate notify you by email or in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
